A reason to celebrate: KMC's college day

Manipal: KMC celebrated their college day with grandeur at the Greens which later moved on to Valley View. Students and teachers shed their lab coats and other staff of the college extended their formality and engaged themselves for an evening filled with fun and celebration.

The celebration started off with all the dignitaries addressing the students, staff and parents. The Chancellor Dr Ramdas Pai, Pro Chancellor Dr HS Ballal, Chancellor Dr Raj Warrior and Dean of KMC Dr Sripathi Rao, encouraged the students of Manipal University and spoke of the already established glory of KMC.

The entertainment programme comprised of a concert with mostly staff of KMC playing various instruments along with some added performances by students. However the main attraction of the celebration apart from singing and all other events was the Fashion Show by the teaching and non-teaching staff of KMC. The staff dressed in all finery moved to the famous Bollywood tunes of Kajra Re and Bidi Jalai Le making the crowd applaud with un-preceded enthusiasm. As a break filler for these shows, plays were also performed by students called ‘Taare KMC Par’. The comic timing of the play was excellent though a little repeated.

The function was followed by dinner for all KMC students, their parents and staff at Valley View. The fun and celebration ended around midnight just like preparations for the show ran passed midnight the previous day.
