Manipal: Namma Bhoomi, an NGO based in Kundapur is going to be conducting Namma Angadi, its marketing platform and annual exhibition, to be organised by six communication management students of MIC at the MU Counseling Hall, MU building from 11th-13th of April.
According to Gayathri Rajendra Babu, an organizer, a total of 12 stalls will display a wide range of handmade household items, beauty products, decoration and clothing. Sanjana Shetty another organizer said “all these products are made by children above the age of 14 and also by villagers in and around Kundapur.”
She added that Namma Angadi has been happening in Manipal for the past four years as it is a good market. “Approximately 2, 00,000 profits were made last year by the sales of these products which has encouraged Namma Bhommi to organise the next exhibition.” said Sonia Liza Philip, another organiser.
The students are organising this exhibition as a part of their final semester project and will be marked based on the management of the event said another organiser, Angela Elizabeth Chandy.
