Manipal: With just a week away from the event, Manipal is all set for the Manipal Media Students Convention, Manipal's first media convention. Organisers of MMSC tell us that nearly 20 delegates from all over the country have been selected and have confirmed participation.

Organisers also expect good participation from Manipal for the first ever Manipal Bloggers Meet to be organised on the 18th. While all the walls and hoardings in Manipal don the MMSC posters and all the important student spots are flooded with their pamphlets, the event is expected to have a huge participation.

"Our flagship event is the bloggers meet, we want everyone in Manipal, blogger or not, to participate in this event and know more about blogging and form a network. Also, keeping in mind the Manipal crowd, we have two very interesting workshops on Podcasting and Internet Content Writing. We hope all our participants, even if only a few learn something and get back." said Sameer Ahmed Hashmi, one of the organisers.

Also, this year has been quite an active year for MIC with their clubs coming out with many more activities and two major events, Article 19 and MMSC, happening. "Everyone has been busy this year with something or the other. So it was quite a challenge for us to pull this off as a college. We hope our event is a huge success," says Elvin Jacob, another student organiser.

The event will also see discussions on Internet Content and cybercultures, IPTV and social networking
