Another of intellectual fun: MIT’s Bioinformatrix

Manipal: The engineers of biotechnology chapter of MIT witnessed a code breaking competitionon this Sarurday, April 26th, which was totally different in respect to other competitions. After ‘Chromozeal’ and the ‘Biobusiness’ competitions that were held last week, the ‘Bioinformatrix’ competition got quite an attention from different students who wanted to test their code breaking ability and check their I.Q.

“The purpose of organising an event like this is to make the biotechnology students mentally prepared for the campus placements and this would in turn help them out to make out there stand on I.Q related issues as companies are coming out for placements next month”, said Malay Upadhyay the president of IEBT.

The competition was meant mainly for the 2nd and 3rd years of MIT and especially for students in the biotechnology department. The participants had to get codes to different answers of different colors and they had to break the codes in order to get the right answer. The code breaking process was quite a difficult task for the participants.

The winners of all the events will be declared next week and the prizes will also be given next week in a function organised by IEBT.
